ESTATE AND CUP OF EXCELLENCE COFFEES

We're pleased to offer a selection of whole bean coffees from some of the world's finest estates. Estate coffees, usually grown on a single farm, are selected and processed separately from run-of-the-mill coffees on their way from the crop to the cup. Estate coffees are typically better and more consistent than similar coffees that have not received estate designation.

The Cup of Excellence is a strict competition that selects the very best coffee produced in given country for a particular crop year. These winning coffees are chosen by a select group of national and international cuppers and are purchased at premium prices and carefully roasted by select American roasters. We're pleased to make available a selection of the "Best of the Best" as shown below.

Equator Estate Coffees and Teas - Ecuador Perla Negra
$15.95/12oz
Ecuador Perla Negra

Lemon-toned apricot in the aroma supported by flowers and a crisply sweet, cocoaish chocolate. All are sustained in the cup, supported by clear fruit-toned acidity, lightly syrupy mouthfeel and fine balance. The finish is flavor-saturated with a slight, bracing astringency. Learn More

Fratello Coffee Roasters - Bolivia Agrotakesi Peaberry
$14.49/12oz
Bolivia Agrotakesi Peaberry

Rich, pungent aroma with hints of berry, black currant, aromatic wood and flowers. In the cup flavor builds in intensity; delicate notes of orange and flowers give way to sweeter berry-toned fruit and brandyish dark chocolate as the cup cools. The deeper notes linger in the mildly dry finish. Learn More
