Product Description

A study in contrasts, Special Blend is a certified organic and Fair Trade blend of medium roasted Central American coffees and darker-roasted Indonesian beans. Newman's Own Organics, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, and Coffee Kids have teamed up to help women in Oaxaca, Mexico through an innovative agricultural program which helps women raise chickens. The project provides them with a means to diversify and strengthen their household economy as well as improve their family diet through organic meat and eggs.

I steered clear at first thinking it would be a typical celebrity product. What a surprise; full flavor, not bitter and all that "eco" stuff to boot. Nice work Newman's own a truly top shelf coffee.
