This Supremo grade Colombian coffee is from the southwestern Popayan region, where the altitude, soil, cool micro-climate, and unique processing combine to yield a coffee with distinctive fruit characteristics.
Tasting Notes:
Some of the highest quality Colombian coffee is grown in Popayan, a mountainous area known as the Cordillera Oriental, a part of the Sierra Nevada range. This quality is due not only to the high altitude and cool climate but prolonged fermentation, which gives this fine single-origin coffee its trademark deep berry flavor tones. Rated 92 points by the Coffee Review as a whole bean coffee.
